Trust the media or Not

      Does the media have any chance of making you feel like you can trust them? I am tired of thinking that we are getting the whole story but not. The fractured nature of the media is a HUGE issue for me. I like to get the whole story and never do. The fractured nature of the media and the drama that they need to capture the viewer and thus bolster ratings. I say that they should just report the facts and let the public make up their own minds. Promises made will the media hold the President accountable?

      The President made a promise to the American people that the web site will be better at the first of December. The media did not report on that until this morning. That was the only time that I saw it. I feel that the media is no longer on the side of the administration. I have noticed that there is more negative reporting as of late. The media in my opinion made the man and now are pushing away as of late due in large part to the handling of the healthcare issue. When Will It Work

The Healthcare webs site that the government as set up has hit several snags. The media has as of late been hard and critical of the administration for the handling of the roll out. Does the lack of being ready and unable to run a website make you nervous when you think of the how the will run your healthcare? I am. To want to see an example of how the government treats those that they are to take care of , look at the VA.
Now the media was hard on their case at the start of the whole roll out and the issues that people were experiencing, but as of late the media has or seems to have forgotten about it . This is an example of fractured coverage. They never, the media stay on the stories and most often than not don't often give you all of the information. That is left up to you the individual to keep up with the twist and turns of the story. So like the title says when will it work? I have no answers for that, but I have no intention to sign up for the program until all of the bugs are worked out.

Media strikes again

     Job numbers faked! How does that make you feel? In case you have been in a whole in the ground in the election of 2012 the job numbers were not real. Is this a case of the media pushing their own agenda to have the candidate that they supported re-elected? Bias in the media is rampant and where will it end? The media has a very important function in the information that they relate to you and I. They should report the facts as they are and not what they want it to be in order to bolster the candidate that they support.

     Has the media lost its way? Can you trust what they are reporting when it comes to politics, I can't. We as a nation have become sheep or cattle if you will. We are moved from one side to the next with ease based on what is reported in the news. We all know that they skew the stories, yet it is packaged in such a way that we believe it.

     The politicians have become adapt at using the media to twist the issues and confuse the public with the medias help. Is there anything that we as consumers of the news help to hold the news accountable?

In class we had a discussion on the venue for politicians to discuss their policies. John Stewart had one of the Obama administration official on his show. Kathleen Sebelius was on the show and discussing the problems with the roll out of the website. The fact that she went on his show to discuss the problems is a joke. Discussions like that need to be in an unbiased forum with a credible journalist not a comedian. I feel that this is their way of lying to the public and not having to answer the hard questions.      I want to look a promises that were made when the healthcare discussion, wait what discussion. There was no debate there was we have to pass this bill. the fact is that the President made promises to the American public to curry favor for his legislation. The two main promises that he made are that if you like your plan you can keep your plan, and the cost of you healthcare coverage will go down by $2500. dollars.
    
      Lets look at the first. There has been several news reports that show that employers are dropping their coverage ( due to cost). The most recent was in California where 100,000 people got notice that they were  being dropped. The second part of this is the is the price there has been several reports that the cost to comply to the new rules, has driven up the cost 5 to 10 times what the cost of coverage was prior to the mandates that Obama care implements.

     The role out of the government healthcare website has fallen far short of the mark, even for the President. This could put the the administration on their heals. Look at this from the stand point of the average person, if they cant even open up a website right how can they even begin to think that they can run my healthcare.
The error on the behalf of the administration has given the GOP a new avenue to attack the plan. The big push now is the individual mandate and delaying the implantation of that provision of the act.

      The problems that have occurred with this portion of the new law without a doubt has helped the GOP gain ground in delaying the law. Could this issue be parlayed into the law being overhauled? I say scrap the whole thing and put a well thought out plan up for a vote. I find it interesting how the administration is waffling and pointing the finger at anyone else other than themselves.

Do you think that Obama care will be cheaper? Even the President should be shaking his head when it comes to the cost of his signature piece of legislation.. He promised that it would cut cost on average of $2500.00 dollars, Not! The fact is that we are all going to pay more for less. The idea that the government can budget anything is a joke. I have a family of four, and it is going to cost me $400.00 more a month to revive less coverage. I was in the store today and I saw that the EBT benefits cards did not work. I though that was weird, so I went home to the internet and looked up what was going on. As I was looking I was thinking that with the government shut down, did the EBT fall victim to the games of the politicians. Do you feel that this could be the case? The video that I am going to post here is a form of propaganda in my view. The pledge that these celebs are making should not be made to a individual. Religion has had these pledges for a long time. I am so mad at the idea that people would pledge to a President their service. This country is in big trouble and the fact that the vast majority of citizens are getting their idea of what to think from celebs is killing me. Wake up people, get informed. Will a shut down of the government make a difference?

You and I are aware of the current state of the battle of the budget in DC. Republicans want to defund  Obama Care. They want to do this by attaching it to a current bill to fund the government for a year. Is this a realistic method of getting what they want? You should have to decide for yourself .Read the following articles and let me know where you stand. I will tell you where I stand on this issue and that is I want it to be tabled. Stop everything and lets do healthcare the right way. Free market will reduce the cost of the plans and also will allow you to make  better decisions as a consumer when you can see the differences in policies. I do not like the idea of the government having their hand in My healthcare at all. So in saying that I would say that defunding Obama Care is a way to open the eyes of those who have not paid attention to the issue.Will it make a difference? I don't know, but it gets the issue out there and in your face, so there will be a discussion.

Will the print media make in the new digital age? The article is about the decline of print media. Daily news papers use to rule the rust, but in the 21 century they are a a dying  breed. Fund the Country or defund Obama Care

In the news, we have see a lot of events unfold.  But have you noticed the house passed the stop-gap bill that defunds Obamacare?  Have you noticed the coverage on the news networks?  For those who do not know,  there are efforts to do away with the Affordable Care Act and how Republicans are trying to defund it by attaching it to a bill that would keep the government up and running for the next year.  The bill is a bandaid to keep the government running without a budget in place.  FYI: there has not  been a budget in place since President Obama has been in office, they have been sent to the Senate and House, but not voted on.
